* September 19 - 28th 2008: Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty!
            Welcome to Nationals!! Hosted this year by the Yankee Golden Retriever Club and held in Warwick, RI with field events in W. Thompson, CT. This years nationals brought together dogs and their owners from all over the US as well as Canada, UK and Europe to compete in comformation events, obedience, agility, rally, tracking, hunt tests and more... NEWS: Our Tyler was part of a very competative Open class that included 59 Golden Retrievers. Tyler made all three judges cuts and ended the day in the TOP 7 in his class owner handled!!!! A BIG Congratulations is due to Tyler for this great honor. Our thanks to Judge Mrs. Betsy Horn Humer.
* August 23rd 2008:
          Tyler does it again! Reserve Winners at Newtown Kennel Club show under Judge Mr. Kurt D. Anderson. Way to go Tyler and Brian!

*August 2nd 2008:
        Tyler wins Reserve Winners Dog from Open class handled by Brian Still at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club. Thank you to Judge Mr. Jerry M. Watson.
*July 4th 2008:
          Another great class win for our Tyler, owner handled...under judge Mr. Ted Jennings at the Kenilworth Kennel Club of Connecticut dog show.
*January 12th 2008:
           Tyler wins first place in the 12-18 month dogs class at the Greater Lowell Kennel Club under judge Dr. Donald A. Gill.


*November 2nd 2007:
                   Our trip to the Mohegan Sun AKC Challenge Dog Show hosted by Farmington Valley kennel Club was very successfull with both Hamish and Tyler winning their classes owner handled under Judge Ms. Patricia W. Laurans. Thank you to Ms. Laurans for recognizing our handsome boys!


*October 27th 2007 - NEW POINTS!
               Hamish goes Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex for 1 point at the Queensboro Kennel Club Dog Show under Judge Mrs. Gale Young. Hamish was handled to this win by Brian Still. HURRAY Hamish & Brian, what a team!
*October 16th - 25th 2008: Hamish makes his theater debut:
               Hamish made his theater debut as "Belle" the Keller Family dog in the Roxbury Repertory Theater's production of The Miracle Worker". It was a great experience for everyone involved and we hope to do it again in the future. Here is a review from EdgeBoston.com

*June 20th 2009: Show Update, NEW CHAMPION!
        Our weekend at the UKC show hosted by The American Eskimo Dog Club of New England was great! Lyric and Scout made their show ring debut with Lyric picking up 50 points towards her championship under Judges Marilyn O'Neill and Danny Bussard. Tyler is quickly proving himself in the ring with back to back Best of Winners, Best of Breed for 2 major wins and a 3rd place in the Gundog Group. We are very pleased and proud to announce that Tyler is now BIS CHAMPION Nautilus Monarchs Return of the King CGC... earning his UKC Championship with this weekends wins! Thank you very much to Judges O'Neill and Bussard for acknowledging Tyler's outstanding qualities and a special thank you to Judge O'Neill for her complements of Scout's excellent breed type.













*April 25th 2009: Show Update, NEW POINTS!
          We endured the unseasonably hot 90+ temperatures at two UKC Multi-Breed dog shows in Westfield, MA hosted by the Apple Valley Rat Terrier Club. Both shows were very large and had beautiful entries representing many breeds. Our day in the heat was well worth it: Story picked up a total of 50 points, back to back Best Female at both shows. Tyler came home with a total of 70 points including 2 majors with back to back Best of Winners and Best of Breed as well as a Gundog Group 2 at show #2 and a 1st place in the Gundog Group followed by Best in Show, the highest honor awarded for the day! We are very proud of our boy for this wonderful win and would like to thank judges Sally Davidson and John Davidson for their recognition of Tyler's exceptional qualities.
















*March 22nd 2009: SHOW NEWS!
       We had a great day the Souhegan Kennel Club All-Breed Spring Match Dog Show. At his first show "Scout", Monarch's Catch Me If You Can, won Best of Breed Puppy and placed Third in the Puppy Sporting Group! We are also pleased to announce that Tyler went Best of Breed, Group 1 and finished the day with his first All-Breed Best in Show over some beautiful entries! Our deepest appreciation to judge Mr. Brad Dunn for recognizing Tyler's quality and breed type!

*July 11th 2009: Dog Show News!
        We attended the UKC show hosted by the Sleeping Giant Kennel Club in Hamden, CT. This show had a large entry with many outstanding dogs of all breeds. His first weekend showing as a Champion Tyler won a Best of Breed under Judge Katherine Short. At the second show Tyler went Best of Breed, placed First in the Gundog Group and was awarded Best in Show! We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Judge Eleanor Brown for this exciting win, Tyler's second career All Breed Best in Show and for her kind words about Tyler's exceptional qualities. At this rate we expect Tyler to soon be in the UKC Top 10 (ranking the country's top UKC Show dogs in each breed).
September 12th & 13th 2009: Dog Show Weekend and NEW Champion!!
               Our 2 day, 4 show weekend in Enfield, CT produced wonderful results. Windy won Best Puppy both days in the Puppy Match over some nice entries. Daisy placed 3rd in the puppy class on Sunday. Scout picked up points with class wins, Best Male and a Best of Winners placement. Lyric also took Best of Winners at 3 out of 4 shows making her our NEW CHAMPION. Tyler came home with 4 out of 4 Best of Breed wins, a Group 2, a Group 3, a Group 1 and Best in Multi-Breed Show...
We would like to thank the following judges for acknowledging our dogs: Carleen Farrington, Paul Bruneau, Theresa Werder and Melissa Kidd.










*July 31st 2009: Tyler Makes UKC Top 10 List!!!
We are very pleased to announce that our Tyler has made the UKC Top 10 list. He current rank is #9 Golden Retriever in the UKC system (USA & Canada). With this exciting news Tyler will continue to be shown as a special with the hopes of reaching the coveted #1 spot! Look for him at UKC shows in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and beyond!


*July 26th 2009: Points, points, points!
      Our very long, hot, rainy day at the dog show was worth every moment! We headed off to Westfield, MA with Tyler, Lyric, Scout and Kosmo (owned by the Treska family). At show #1 Scout won his class, as well Best Male. Kosmo won Reserve Best Male. Lyric won Best Female and Best of Winners and Tyler won Best of Breed. Thank you to Judge Debbi Orwin for Lyric's first Major! Show #2 was just as exciting, Kosmo (Monarch's Homeward Bound) placed first in his class followed by Best male and Best of Winners, Tyler got another Best of Breed and placed First in the Gun Dog Group! Our deepest thank you to Judge Al Orwin for his very kind complements to Kosmo and for Tyler's Group 1 placement.

November 13th - 15th 2009:
                We returned home very tired but happy after our weekend in Taunton, MA, 5 shows in 3 days hosted by Silver City K-9 Club. On Friday's Show Tyler won Best of Breed and a Gundog Group 2 under Judge Daniel Giovinazzi. Saturday's show #1: Lyric won her FIRST Best of Breed over some very nice goldens, not bad for only 11 1/2 months old! We would like to thank Judge Eleanor Main for recognizing Lyric's beautiful head and movement! Show #2: Tyler won Best of Breed earning more points for his Top Ten status! Judge Mary King. Sunday's shows Tyler took home 2 more Best of Breed wins, a Group 3 under Judge Renee O'Donnell and a Group 1 and a Reserve Best in Show!!! Thank you to judge Patrick O'Donnell for this great honor in a ring of beautiful dogs. We also had a nice win with Ella taking 1st place in the All Breed Altered Class, Yay Ella! This weekend both Tyler and Lyric each earned one leg towards their GRCH (GrandChampion) titles!








October 16th 2009: TOP 10 Standings Update!
              We are very happy to announce that as of October 16th Tyler 'BIMBS UKC CH. Nautilus Monarchs Return of the King' is the #4 Golden Retriever in UKC Standings!

NEW CHAMPION:
        Our Scout finishes his Championship at 11 months old! Way to go Scout & Lisa (who showed him herself!). Scout is now officialy UKC CH. Monarch's Catch Me If You Can.

September 27th 2009:
                 Westfield, MA Hosted by the American Eskimo Dog Club of New England. Show #1 results- After a long hiatus our Hamish returned to the ring with our new Junior handler Cailie showing him to a Best of Breed from the classes including his first UKC major!! Judge Pamela Simmons. Show #2 Tyler wins yet another Best of Breed followed by a Gundog Group 4. Thank you to Judge Robert Collins.
                  At the YGRC Fall Match Show Daisy "Monarch's Driving Miss Daisy" placed in both the 3-6 puppy sweeps class and 3-6 month female puppy class. Way to Go Daisy!!

September 26th 2009:
                 Our Daisy (co-owned with Michelle Ballou) entered the Yankee Golden Retriever Hunt Test and placed 3rd of 8 in the 3-6 month old division of the Puppy Stakes. Not bad for her first time in the field and her first birds!
